2014 WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship Bracket Challenge Official Rules

The WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship Bracket Challenge is a free bracket-style game that lets users test their PGA TOUR knowledge by picking who they believe will be the winners in each match-up of the 2014 WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship. The Championship is scheduled to be competed February 19-23, 2014.

The Challenge is open to individuals eighteen (18) years of age or older as of February 16, 2014 who registered for PGA TOUR Fantasy Golf 2014. Neither (a) legal residents of any jurisdiction other than the 50 United States and the District of Columbia nor (b) employees of PGA TOUR Inc., PGATOUR.COM LLC, or STATS LLC, and each of their parent, subsidiary, affiliate, agent or representative companies, and the members and employees of each, (collectively, the “Challenge Entities”) are eligible to win any prizes, nor are members of Challenge Entities’ families or households. By registering, users agree to accept and be bound by all terms of these Official Rules and the decisions of Administrator and Challenge Entities, which shall be final. Challenge may not be used in connection with any form of gambling. Challenge is subject to all federal, state and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited or restricted by law.

The Challenge begins on February 16, 2014, and ends February 19, 2014 prior to commencement of competitive play in the Championship. Users may register at any time January 20th through the Challenge Period.

January 20, 2014: Early registration available for general public to sign up and create leagues
February 16, 2014: Message made available to registered users of PGA TOUR Fantasy Golf 2014 to create a Bracket entry for the Challenge.
February 16, 2014: Bracket is made available to registered users for picks to be made.
February 19, 2014: Deadline to submit picks is 5 minutes before the first tee time of the tournament. Championship begins.

Users may create entries and make selections at any time during the Challenge Period. To make selections, a user must complete the entire bracket entry by predicting one (1) winner for each match-up in the Championship. The user will make the prediction by clicking on the golfer name they believe will advance to the next round of the Championship.

After completing all selections, users will then be asked to enter a prediction for the tiebreaker question: How many total holes will the champion play during the Championship? The tiebreaker question will be used to determine a winner in the event that there is a tie for the most points awarded (see Scoring below). All selections, including the tie-breaker prediction, must be submitted during the Challenge Period.

Users may have the opportunity to create a private group and invite friends to play along and/or join a private or public group that has already been created. No additional prizes will be awarded in connection with groups.

Users will score points for every correct pick made. The longer selections survive in the Championship, the more points will be awarded.

Round Points
1 (Round of 64) 1 point for each correct selection (32 total points possible)
2 (Round of 32) 2 points for each correct selection (32 total points possible)
3 (Round of 16) 4 points for each correct selection (32 total points possible)
4 (Round of 8) 8 points for each correct selection (32 total points possible)
5 (Round of 4) 16 points for each correct selection (32 total points possible)
6 (Championship) 32 points for correct selection (32 total points possible)

Maximum possible points = 192 points

The winner will be determined by the single highest cumulative points total from among all entries during the Challenge Period. If multiple users score the same highest cumulative points in the Challenge, the user with the closest correct answer to the tiebreaker question without going over will be determined the winner.

Two winners (first and second place) selected using the criteria above (total points + tiebreaker if necessary) will win. The first place winner (with the highest cumulative points total) will win a Michelob Ultra Mountain Bike with an approximate retail value of $399. The second place winner (with the next highest cumulative points total) will win Bose QuietComfort 20i Acoustic Noise Canceling headphones with an approximate retail value of $299. The reporting and payment of any tax liabilities incurred by the winners as a result of the Challenge are the sole responsibility of the winners. No alteration, substitution or transfer of prize or cash redemption permitted. Administrator reserves the right to substitute any prize or any portion thereof with an item of equal or greater value. Prizes are awarded β€œAS IS” with no warranty or guarantee either express or implied. Winners may be required to sign and return an affidavit of eligibility and liability/publicity release (where legal) and/or IRS Form W9 within 14 days of notification attempt or the prize may be forfeited and an alternate winner may be selected. Return of prize or prize notification as undeliverable or inability to reach winner using information provided during registration may result in disqualification and an alternate winner may be selected.
